Located just outside Tahoe National Forest, a series of interlocking gabled volumes form House MC 448. The farmhouse-inspired residence is clad in a rustic mix of wood, metal, and stone. In contrast to the dark exterior, the inside is washed in white. These gallery-style walls act as a backdrop to the owner’s personal art collection as well as a selection of vintage, custom, and contemporary furnishings. Adding to the bright atmosphere, black steel windows flood the living spaces with natural light while also framing in the surrounding forest scenery.
