Holmsland Dune House

Perched above the rolling landscape, the Holmsland Dune House is a remote retreat on the coast of Denmark. The cross-formed structure is elevated off the ground, cantilevering in the four cardinal directions — north, south, east, and west — while the introduction of light becomes the fifth. The changing angles of incoming rays along with views of the wind-swept landscape allow for altered scenes to be viewed from the expansive glazing. The effect creates a cinematic experience throughout the interior inspired by the Roman Polanski film The Ghostwriter.
