Hillside Sanctuary

Overlooking the Puget Sound, the Hillside Sanctuary brings Appalachian architecture to the Pacific Northwest. The stone dwelling and guest house are inspired by an old mountain home that was lost in a fire. Its interior is defined by two massive fireplaces made from the same material as the rocky facade. The main living spaces are brightened by pale wood millwork and an abundance of natural light, adding a contemporary contrast to the rustic palette. Beyond the expansive glazing is an exterior deck. The outdoor living space is situated on the hillside, allowing for views across the remote landscape.
