Five Element House

Perched on a hilltop overlooking India’s Pavana Lake, the Five Element House is a direct response to the pristine landscape. The fort-like structure is comprised of a series of volumes organized around a central courtyard. Its wintergreen facade references the earth, helping to blend the exterior into its surroundings. The interior is a further tribute to nature with a material palette of stone, teak, terracotta, and exposed brick. Private spaces are dispersed throughout the units with the main living area at the center. Each one is fitted with vast expansive of glazing, saturating every room with unreal views while also drawing inhabitants out to the cantilevered pool.
