The landscapes surrounding Norway’s Halvarøy Island are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The Efjord Retreat Cabin ensures the attention stays of the surreal scenery with an angular design. Integrated into the natural slope of the terrain, the dwelling is comprised of two volumes clad in iron sulfate-treated core pinewood. Each one is positioned in a way to allow floor-to-ceiling glazing to take advantage of the mountain vistas and the Ofoten fiord to the west. Its interior features natural materials including birch and granite and offers two bedrooms, open living spaces, and, of course, an aspen-lined sauna.
